What is a State Grid standard smart meter?

Zhongyi Smart's self-developed ultrasonic metering module (referred to as flow runner) uses the ultrasonic time difference method to measure the gas flow rate. The ultrasonic time difference method utilizes the fact that the time difference between the ultrasonic waves in the downstream and upstream directions in the gas medium is proportional to the average flow velocity of the gas. By calculating the relationship between the propagation time difference and the propagation distance of the ultrasonic waves, the gas flow velocity can be obtained. The gas flow rate can be obtained by multiplying the flow velocity by the cross-sectional area of the sound runner in the gas meter pipe.

The working principle of the time-difference gas meter is shown in Figure 1.

A prepaid gas meter is equipped with an accessory device—an electric motor valve. When the gas meter is running, a corresponding communication signal is transmitted to the controller, causing the LCD electronic counter to display the gas meter reading. If the gas consumption reaches (or is about to reach) the preset remaining amount, the controller will close the electric motor valve and display a notification message on the LCD screen. After purchasing gas through prepayment, the user can operate the gas meter buttons to open the electric motor valve and restore gas supply for continued use.
